The Bachelor of Applied Information System Technology program is a four-year program delivered over eight 16-month semesters. The first two years of this program is a computer-related diploma. NAIT's Computer Systems Technology and Computer Engineering Technology programs (or their equivalent) fulfil this prerequisite. What you need to get in to the Bachelor of Applied Information Systems Technology at Northern Alberta Institute of Technology?
Entrance into this program requires completion of a two-year NAIT diploma in computer-related technologies or computer engineering technologies. The diploma comprises the first two years of this program. Equivalent diploma programs from other post-secondary institutions will be considered. New full-time applied degree students begin daytime classes in September. Students may be required to take bridging courses depending on the major selected. Information Systems Major students must have prior knowledge of Visual Basic or C++, SQL, HTML/Scripting and Object Modeling. Network Management Major students must have prior knowledge of computer repair and maintenance, network cabling and hardware, communications protocol and network operating systems.
