To qualify for the following technical majors, applicants must have one of the listed two-year SAIT diplomas, or a relevant equivalent (contact the department for equivalent credits from other institutions): Distributed Automation and Control Systems, Electronics Engineering Technology, Computer Control Technology, Industrial Instrumentation Technology, or Automated Systems Engineering Technology (plus MATH 285) diploma. Information Systems Development, Computer Technology diploma (2001 or later) with a specialization in Information Systems. Network Management, Network Engineering Technology diploma or Computer Engineering Technology diploma. Software Engineering, Computer Technology diploma (2001 or later) with a specialization in technical systems. Applicants whose native tongue is not English must demonstrate a fluency level of 8 on the Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment (CLBA) test, administered through the Prior Learning Assessment Office. Applicants not entering through the standard SAIT diploma stream may be required to write a ompetency assessment examination.
