What you need to get in to the Early Learning and Childcare at Grande Prairie Regional College?
You must be 18 years of age and have an Alberta Learning High School Diploma or equivalent with 50 per cent in English 30-1 or 60 per cent in English 30-2 or their equivalents. You will attend a group information session with fellow applicants and faculty of the Early Childhood Development Department. If you are 18 years of age or older and do not have these prerequisites, you should contact the Early Childhood Department for pre-admission testing. You must provide an immunization record prior to admission. Students who are admitted to the program will receive information on required/recommended immunizations with their admission. Applicants will be required to complete a Criminal Record Check with the R.C.M.P. prior to participation in practicum.
