University of Alberta Entrance Scholarships

You could be starting with scholarships you don't even have to apply for! You will be evaluated for these scholarships when you apply for admission. Your eligibility will be based on your high school admission average at the time of your admission offer. We'll assess you for a match to the following and many more.

1) GOLD STANDARD SCHOLARSHIP
The top 5% of students in each faculty could receive up to $6,000, depending on admission average.

2) INDIGENOUS ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIP
Self-declaring First Nations, Metis, or Inuit applicants with an average of 80%+ may receive $1,500.

3) AP and IB SCHOLARSHIP
The top 25 AP and 25 IB students will receive $1,000 to recognize their achievement of taking an academically rigorous program.

4) NATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP
The top incoming out-of-province Canadian students will receive $30,000, payable over four years.

5) INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
Students with superior academics attending high school in Canada on a study permit may receive a scholarship up to $9,000, payable over four years.

6) MAPLE LEAF FIRST YEAR EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP
Students attending high school in Canada on a study permit with an admission average of 80%+ could receive a scholarship of $1,000.
