​Offered by the Provincial Chapter of Alberta, IODE on the basis of financial need rather than academic achievement.

Since 1920 Alberta chapters initiated many diverse and exciting projects.  To commemorate the coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, the Coronation Bursaries were established. These two bursaries of $1,000 each are given annually.

The mission of IODE, a Canadian women’s charitable organization, is to improve the quality of life for children, youth and those in need, through educational, social service and citizenship programs.

Value: $1,000.00 (At least two awards each year)

Eligibility: High school student entering any degree-granting program in Alberta. The student must have resided in Alberta for at least 3 years prior to the application. Application may be made from anywhere in Alberta.

Tenable:  At any degree-granting institution in Alberta.

Payment: Payable only when the student is in actual full-time attendance at the institution of the student’s choice.
