Description: Awarded annually to an Alberta student entering first-year Nursing at UPEI, with preference for a student from the Calgary area. Renewable at $2,000 for study years two, three, and four based on full course load enrolment and academic performance.

The recipient is determined by a special committee of the Friends of UPEI Calgary, which includes at least one UPEI representative. This committee make sits recommendation to the UPEI Scholarship and Awards Committee.

The scholarship is granted based upon the completed application form and a personal statement indicating why he/she should be considered for the scholarship. In addition, applicants must have a minimum high school average of 80%.

The recipient must remain enrolled in full-time studies in the Nursing program (five courses per semester) at UPEI, and must maintain good academic standing with a minimum average of 80% in each year to be eligible for renewal. The scholarship is non-transferable and will not be awarded if no eligible candidate applies.
