Number of Scholarships 1

The Ontario Expropriation Association (OEA) is supportive of students currently in recognized educational programs in the fields of law, planning, accounting, economics, land appraisal or any field of study that may provide enlightenment on any aspect of the field of expropriation.

The OEA has established a $2,000.00 bursary to be awarded annually through an open competition process, to the student whose paper is chosen by the Board of Directors of the OEA.

The OEA requests that students interested in applying for this bursary submit papers that relate to the topic of expropriation to the Ontario Expropriation Association. Papers can be those prepared as part of their education program or can be papers prepared specifically to compete for the bursary. Papers must be at least 15 pages in length, double spaced twelve point type, in Word or PDF format. Selected papers may be placed on the OEA web site. All papers must be submitted using the application form set out below and forwarded to the Chair of the Bursary Committee via admin@oea.on.ca.

All papers received will be reviewed by the Bursary Sub-Committee and recommendations will be made to the OEA Board of Directors. Applicants will be advised of the OEA's decision by May 15th and the winner will be awarded the bursary at the Annual Spring Event of the OEA. The deadline for submissions is March 31st for consideration for the bursary award for that year. Papers received after the deadline will be considered for the following year's bursary.
