Number of Scholarships 3470

Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Scholarships recognize the excellence of Alberta apprentices in a trade and trainees in a designated occupation, and encourage recipients to complete their apprenticeship or occupational training programs. Introduced in 2002, these scholarships are valued at $1,000 each.

Eligibility

To be eligible for an Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Scholarship in trades with only one period of training, you must be registered as an Alberta apprentice, and

A) Have passed your apprenticeship and industry training exam between August 1 and July 31.

Apprentices who are registered in trades with only 2 periods of technical training AND have completed both periods of training between July 1 - June 30 are now eligible to apply for an AIT Scholarship. This removes the requirement for apprentices in these trades to have one period of technical training remaining.

Commercial Appliance Service Technician
Concrete Finisher
Floorcovering Installer
Gasfitter - Class B
