What you need to get in to the Geomatics Engineering Technology at Lethbridge Community College?
New students are accepted into the Geomatics program in the Fall (September) term only. Academic Requirements: Applicants are required to have a minimum 50 per cent in Math 30P (Pure) or a minimum of 65 per cent in Math 30A (Applied), 50 per cent in Physics 20 or 50 per cent in Science 30, 60 per cent in English Language Arts 30-2 or English Language Arts 30-1. Basic understanding of computer technology such as word processing, copying files and familiarity working in a Windows-based environment is required. All students applying to the program may be required to write a math and science competency exam at the start of the program. Students whose scores demonstrate deficiencies will be advised to consider spreading their work load over a three-year program to allow for remedial courses. Alternate Admission: Applicants are required to achieve a minimum 60th percentile on the Arithmetic, Elementary Algebra and Sentence Skills sections of placement testing or equivalent. It is strongly recommended that the 75th percentile is achieved.
