What you need to get in to the Equine Science at Olds College?
High school diploma or equivalent with 50% or better in English Language Arts 30-1 or 30-2, Biology 30, Math 20(P) Pure or Math 20 (A) Applied. Completed work experience evaluation form indicating a minimum of 160 hours of related work experience. Riding or Practical tests required. All majors require 160 hours of substantiated work experience in a related horse operation other than one owned by the applicant's family. However, for the Horsemanship Major, 80 of the 160 hours must be substantiated riding related experience. The work experience evaluation form must be filled out by your employer/employers and returned to Olds College prior to the first of March. Alternate Admissions Status: Must meet specific high school course requirements prior to application deadline of March 1st. Acceptance will be based on approval of the Program Coordinator and the Registrar's Office.
