What you need to get in to the Design at University of Alberta?
For B.Des. (Business/Marketing, General, Printmaking, Social Sciences): Standard admission with English Language Arts 30-1 and any four of Biology 30, Chemistry 30, Science 30, Pure Mathematics 30, Mathematics 31, Physics 30, Social 30, 30-level Language other than English, or an approved Fine Arts subject (only one Fine Arts subject may be presented for admission). Submit portfolio by May 1. Assessment may include an interview. Pure Mathematics 30 is a prerequisite for certain courses in the BDesign Social Sciences route with a concentration in Psychology. For B.Des. (Computing Science, Engineering): Standard admission with English Language Arts 30-1 and Pure Mathematics 30; plus any three of Biology 30, Chemistry 30, Science 30, Mathematics 31, Physics 30, Social 30, 30-level Language other than English, or an approved Fine Arts subject (only one Fine Arts subject may be presented for admission). Submit portfolio by May 1. Assessment may include an interview. For applicants intending to enter the BDesign Engineering route, Mathematics 31 and Physics 30 are recommended.
