What you need to get in to the Early Childhood Education at Bow Valley College?
50% or better in English 30-1 or 30-2 or equivalent. High School Equivalency Diploma (GED) with proficiency in English at the grade 12 level. Bow Valley College Assessment (Individuals who do not meet the admission requirements may be eligible for the Integrated Early Learning and Child Care Certificate program). Applicants will require a security clearance. Applicants will require a child intervention record check. Applicants educated outside of Canada may be required to complete a listening test. Based on the results of this test, individuals may be required to register in the course, Vocabulary for Early Childhood Education. Prerequisites for the Integrated Program: High School Diploma with 50% or better in English 30 (30-1) or 33 (30-2) or equivalent, General Educational Development (GED), Bow Valley College Academic Assessment (TABE: 5D, Grade 8 or higher), A Canadian Language Benchmark of Level 7 or 8 (or successful completion of English for Academic Purposes - Prep, or SLEP, score above 60), 5D with the Listening test (SLEP) if English is the applicant's 2nd language.
