Prerequisites for the Power Engineering - 4th Class program include: English 10, Math 10 Pure or equivalent, Science 10 or Physics 10 or Chemistry 10. Last year, successful applicants had Grade 12 English, Pure Math 30 plus Physcis 20 or Chemistry 20 or Science 20. Requires normal color vision. Non-academic Requirements: Students should have good manual dexterity and good hand-eye co-ordination, as they will be required to operate switches and controls while monitoring instruments. As well, normal colour vision is required and students should be aware that some employers will require applicants to take a test for colour blindness.
