What you need to get in to the Medical Research at University of Alberta?
Highly qualified students motivated toward a career in medical research may wish to consider the M.D./Ph.D. program. Students in the first year of the M.D. program may apply to the Combined Program. If acceptable to the appropriate Department, to the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, and to the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research, the student is admitted to the Ph.D. program. Normally, on completion of two years of the M.D. program, the student registers in the Ph.D. program. On completion of the Ph.D. program, the student re-enters the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry and completes the requirements for the M.D. degree. Students interested in such a program may obtain further information from the Office of Research, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, 2J2.11 Walter C Mackenzie Health Sciences Centre.
