What you need to get in to the Medical Laboratory Assisting at Northern Alberta Institute of Technology?
Applicants must have: English 30-1 or 30-2, Chemistry 20, Biology 20, Pure Math 10 or Applied Math 20, keyboarding skills (minimum 30 words per minute with 90% accuracy). Note: Other math courses may be considered. Please contact the Registrar's Office for information. Additional Requirements: a completed Career Investigation report that documents a visit or job shadow in a clinical laboratory or blood collection site; successful completion of a keyboarding assessment as part of an interview process; basic computer literacy, which includes basic word processing, spreadsheets, Internet and e-mail. A visit to a clinical laboratory or collection site and completion of a Career Investigation form specific to the Medical Laboratory Assisting program are required. As English is the language of instruction in all programs at NAIT, you must have an adequate knowledge of written and spoken English as a prerequisite for admission.
