What you need to get in to the Health Care Aide at Northern Lakes College?
Full-time & Part-time requirements: - Credit in English 10-2 (English 13) or equivalent OR mature student status - Completed Immunization Record form - Criminal Record Check (completed within the last 6 months) - Completed Health Status form - Fluency in English Additional Part-time requirements: - Employment as a non-certified health care aide by an approved health care provider(partner). There must be a Memo of Understanding (partnership) between NLC and the approved health care provider which supports the successful outcome of the employee. - Resume including dates of work experience as a HCA or in a related job position as well as supportive education certificates (CPR, First Aid, etc.) - A letter of recommendation from current employer outlining the candidate's suitability for the program. - Proof of work experience as a HCA of 600 hours within the last two years as provided by employers. Completion of a self test knowledge exam and skill checklist and submit a supervisor's assessment.
